CONFIRMATORY CONSTITUTIONAL REFERENDUM ON MARCH 22 AND 23, 2026 INFO CARD

| What are you voting for? |
With the Decree of the President of the Republic of January 13, 2026, published in the Official Gazette, General Series, No. 10 of January 14, 2026, a confirmatory referendum was called pursuant to Article 138 of the Constitution, containing: “Provisions on the judicial system and the establishment of the Disciplinary Court.” |
| How do you vote? |
Voting abroad takes place by mail. Ballots must be returned to the consulate, carefully following the instructions on the information sheet included in the election package and using only the materials provided therein. |
| Who can vote abroad? |
Voters registered with AIRE (Registry of Italians Residing Abroad), who will receive the electoral package directly at their address of residence abroad. Italians temporarily abroad for at least three months, exclusively FOR WORK, STUDY, OR MEDICAL TREATMENT, and family members living with them abroad. PLEASE NOTE: voters temporarily abroad must submit a specific request directly to their Italian municipality of residence BY FEBRUARY 18, 2026 to receive their voting materials. |
| Can I vote in Italy? |
Voters registered with AIRE who intend to vote in Italy must notify the relevant Consulate of their intention within ten days of the announcement, i.e. by January 24, 2026. This intention may be revoked at any time before January 24, 2026. |

When do we vote? |
In Italy, voting will take place on Sunday, March 22, and Monday, March 23, 2026. Voters abroad vote in advance, by mail. The packages will be sent to their residential address no later than March 4, 2026. Only ballots delivered to the relevant consular office NO LATER THAN 4 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 19, 2026, will be transmitted to Italy for counting. PLEASE NOTE: Voters who have not received their voting materials BY MARCH 8, 2026, may contact their consular office to obtain a DUPLICATE. |
