The Embassy of Italy in Islamabad informs applicants that the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) have published the provisions governing the procedures for the entry, stay, enrolment of international students, and the recognition of foreign qualifications for higher education courses in Italy for Academic Year 2026\/2027.<\/p>\n
Pre-enrolment applications (i.e. \u201cdomande di pre-iscrizione<\/em>\u201d), which are a prerequisite for the subsequent enrolment procedures, must be submitted through the Universitaly portal: The Procedures, together with the relevant annexes, are available at the following link: Applicants are strongly advised to carefully review the Procedures, particularly Part II \u2013 \u201cProcedures under the responsibility of the Diplomatic-Consular Mission\u201d, and to promptly prepare all required documentation and complete the preliminary steps necessary for the submission of the visa application, the deadline for which is set at 30 November 2026. The Procedures are available on the website of this Embassy under the section \u201cServices for Foreign Citizens\u201d > \u201cVisas\u201d > \u201cChoose the right visa based on your needs\u201d.<\/p>\n In order to facilitate and support students, and in order to simplify access to the appointment booking system currently operated through the outsourcing company BLS-Intiana, this Embassy, through BLS-Intiana, is proceeding with the direct allocation of appointments to student visa applicants whose pre-enrolment applications for Academic Year 2026\/2027 have already been validated by their respective universities on the Universitaly portal, by contacting them individually.<\/p>\n Accordingly, applicants whose pre-enrolment applications have already been validated by their university will receive a communication containing the details of their appointment at the email address provided during registration on the Universitaly portal. Appointments will be assigned in chronological order based on the validation date of the applications by the respective universities.<\/p>\n Please note that only students whose pre-enrolment applications have been validated by their respective universities on the Universitaly portal will be eligible to submit a visa application.
